Developmental Domain #5c - Fine Motor: Pre-Writing

SMART Pre-K Activities_for Home 2020_1.026.jpeg

Besides helping preschoolers learn shape and structure, pre-writing activities serve a number of other functions as well. Pre-writing practice teaches directionality in writing, encourages fine muscle development and coordination, and also helps children process sensory information critical to the writing process.

Children need to master pre-writing skills before they can have legible and efficient handwriting.
